Dr. Lam’s research focus is at the intersection of environmental management, environmental engineering, and sustainability science. He specializes in methods of industrial ecology (i.e., life cycle assessment, input-output analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, material flow analysis). Currently, he has a strong focus on how we can sustainably transition our approaches to water management – reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enabling resource recovery, and improving resilience.
Dr. Lam has a B.Eng. in Chemical and Environmental Engineering (with a minor in Liberal Studies) and a M.Phil. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (Energy Technology Concentration) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. from the University of Queensland. Prior to joining DKU, he was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at Delft University of Technology.
