Speaker’s bio: Stephanie Ghislain is Political Affairs Manager at Eurogroup for Animals, the pan-European animal advocacy organisation representing more than 90 members based in the EU and beyond. Before that, she has led the organisation’s “Trade & Animal Welfare” Programme for 5 years. Before joining Eurogroup for Animals, Stephanie worked six years in a consulting firm, primarily advising companies and governments on EU trade policy.
Abstract: Stephanie will be discussing the political work of Eurogroup for Animals, the pan-European organisation advocating for higher animal welfare in the EU. Eurogroup for Animals was created more than 40 years ago and has played a part in most breakthroughs achieved at EU level for animals. She’ll discuss recent advocacy efforts and the various shapes they have taken.
